The hope for Pam and Keith Foster when opening The Outpost in Fall of 2012 was to not only establish itself as a cool and distinctive shop,  but also a store that would serve the Middleburg community by truly giving back to those in need.

Since their opening of The Outpost, Pam and Keith have supported local and national charities through hosting special events and donating ALL proceeds from their annual “Help Us, Help Others Sales.”  For the “Help Us, Help Others Sale,” The Outpost loads their back room with their amazing finds from all over the world and reduces prices with all proceeds from the sale going to committed non-profits that are committed to improving the lives of others and land preservation.  This year the sale begins on Friday, November 27th and runs through Sunday, December 13th.

This fall The Outpost will be supporting the Windy Hill Foundation and Oatlands Historic House and Gardens.  The Windy Hill Foundation seeks to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to low and lower income families in Loudoun, Fauquier, and Clarke Counties and to encourage self-improvement and self-sufficiency among tenant residents.  Oatlands Historic House and Gardens is a 415-acre self-supporting National Trust Historic Site and National Historic Landmark. The site features a stunning landscape with magnificent gardens, 1804 mansion and 19th century brick dependencies, including the Oatlands greenhouse, the second oldest greenhouse in the nation. Oatlands carries out its mission of historic preservation, land conservation, education, research and community outreach.  For more information on The Windy Hill Foundation and Oatlands, please visit and

We hope that you will visit The Outpost this season and especially during their “Help Us, Help Others Sale” and support of two very worthy causes in The Windy Hill Foundation and Oatlands Historic House and Gardens.
