Morrow is an accomplished portrait and sporting artist who has been featured on the cover of The Artist’s Magazine, a national publication. His oil painting entitled “The Dandy” appeared on the July/August 2014 cover of the magazine and won First Place in the magazine’s All Media Competition.   Jeff was also awarded a Certificate of Excellence by The Portrait Society of America for his entry, “The Dandy” in the International Portrait Competition at their annual conference and Best of Show at the inaugural exhibition of the Greenacres Artist’s Guild.

This is the first time the Ohio based artist will have his art exhibited in Virginia.  In addition to his portraits of people, the exhibit and sale will include sporting scenes of dogs and horses in various settings.  One painting shows his four legged friends frolicking by the lake and another painting captures early morning riders working out their horses. Gallery On Madison owner, Jim Allmon, said that “anyone interested in potentially having a portrait commission of themselves, a family member, beloved dog or horse will have the opportunity to discuss the process during the opening.”

Jeff Morrow is a member of The Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America, The Academy of Equine Art, The MacDowell Society of Cincinnati and a signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club.  Prio to becoming a full time portrait and sporting artist ten years ago, Morrow had a 28 year career as a commercial photographer and video producer. He attributes this experience as beneficial in creating his painting compositions.
