For months the town has been in the middle of a long term road project between the Town of Middleburg and Virginia Department of Highways.

Today VDOT contractors took down temporary traffic lights and let traffic flow freely.

Middleburg Police Chief Panebianco told  the Eccentric that all closed side streets should be open by the close of business today.

The road project, expected to run through October, is well ahead of schedule .

There is more construction slated between  now and October, it should not impede the flow of traffic or parking in town as it had.

Things are getting better and moving forward.
