Volunteers are needed to help Wreaths Across America place Veterans’ Remembrance Wreaths on the graves of our American heroes buried at Arlington National Cemetery beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 17. There is no sign-up and there is no age limit. Simply show up if you would like to participate. WAA encourage families to come together. It begins with an Opening Ceremony at the McClellan Arch Gate located just off of Eisenhower Drive, on McClellan Drive, between Sections 33 and 12. The public will be allowed entry to the cemetery at 8 a.m. The ceremony will provide some introductory remarks and a short briefing to provide basic information to volunteers. After the ceremony, volunteers will move to the trucks located throughout the cemetery where they will participate in the laying of wreaths on headstones beginning at 10 a.m. For more information, including parking details, visit http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/volunteer-at-arlington/.
