Boy Scout Troop 2950 of Middleburg on February 27 had a “Court of Honor,” held three times per year to recognize scouts who have earned merit badges and made progress in rank advancement. Many of the scouts’ family and friends were present to share in the event held at the American Legion Post 295.

The scouts were awarded over 23 different merit badges, and nine scouts earn a new rank as they completed skills and requirements at each level of scouting. In addition to merit badges, the boys are often involved in community service projects, fundraising and of course, monthly campouts.
